Cruising Limits – Yacht CARMEN is a MCA (Maritime & Coastguard Agency) category 2 registered yacht and operates within 60 miles of a safe haven, thus giving her a maximum range of 120mile for each passage.
Insurance – charter yacht insurance cover to operate on the South and West coast of the UK and from Brest to the Elbe across the channel.
Boat Equipment - The yacht is provided with the Safety Equipment as prescribed by the DoT and the yacht is inspected annually by ourselves and every 2 years by the Certifying Authorities.
Safety equipment includes:
- Life raft, lifejackets, harnesses and lifelines, fire extinguishers, fire blanket, gas alarm, flares, torches and first aid kit
- All navigational equipment such as charts, plotters, tidal streams, current almanac, pilot guides, steering, log, wind and depth instruments, GPS, VHF and barometer are provided
- CARMEN is equipped with domestic equipment and materials. Towels, pillows and bedding are provided
- A yacht tender is provided with an outboard engine which will be used when anchored off shore or on swing moorings
