Yacht CARMEN is a 2010 luxurious Beneteau Oceanis 40ft yacht, fitted out to the highest standard and complying with the latest DfT safety standards (CAT 2 coding).

Skipper/Owner; Steve Latham

The skipper/owner is a qualified RYA Yachtmaster with DfT commercial licence. Steve lives in Torbay and has been sailing, teaching and skippering on the south and west coast of England for many years.

Yacht CARMEN is only commercially used for private skippered charter parties or individuals. This vessel has never been used for bareboat charter, RYA teaching or racing. It is maintained and cleaned to exacting standards.

Whether you’re booking a day, weekend, week or more, you will have an in-depth discussion with the skipper to plan destinations, time and distances at sea, weather conditions and the parties’ experience of sailing. The charter needs to suit the expectations of the group chartering it. Working with you and your guests, we will design a charter that will both excite and be specifically tailored to your needs and requirements; from short passages between locations to longer voyages, the choice is yours.

Whilst some clients want to relax on this luxury yacht, leaving the sailing to be done for them, others relish the opportunity to be immersed in the sailing world, getting hands-on, practical experience. This is often a good way to find out if you want to take up sailing at a later stage. Whatever you decide, we will be more than happy to arrange your style of sailing for your charter.

To alleviate parking concerns in this busy seaside town, we can arrange free parking or collection from Torquay or Newton Abbot Railway station or Torquay Bus station for those booked on a weekend or longer charters.
